PACHECO EDUCATIONAL CONSULTING
ABOUT ME
Don Pacheco
I have worked in public school special education for more than a decade. My work began when my son's preschool teacher as me to help some of her students with reading and math. My interest in how students learn was peaked when I saw how some students struggle with preacademic skills that other for other students come easily.
Years later, while I was in graduate school at California State University, East Bay, I was asked by my son's 3rd grade teacher to help students who struggled with reading and math. Again I saw how students who learned differently or who had social-emotional needs were not being reached by well-meaning teachers. At times during his education, my son struggled academically, however, he had the benefit of two parents that were special educators; my son had parents with intimate working knowledge of the public school special education system who advocated fiercely on his behalf and he received the appropriate educational support that he needed, when he needed it.

"My goal is to fiercely advocate for you and your child as I did for my son, and make sure that they are supported in all of their educational and social-emotional needs."
